Brief
History of the Program
The institution, which
started operating as “Demirci Primary Teacher Training School” in 1964, was
transformed into a “Faculty” in 1992 with the law numbered 3837 and was
connected to Manisa CELAL BAYAR UNIVERSITY as FACULTY OF EDUCATION. Since the
1994-1995 academic year, the Turkish Language Education Undergraduate Program
has been opened and students are accepted. The undergraduate program updated by
the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) has been carried out in the Turkish
Language Education Undergraduate Program of Manisa Celal Bayar University
Faculty of Education since the fall semester of the 2018-2019 academic year.
Mission
The Turkish Language
Education Undergraduate Program provides education in three main areas:
teaching professional knowledge, field knowledge and general culture. In
teaching professional knowledge courses, our students learn to teach linguistic
and mental skills related to listening, reading, speaking and writing, which
they can use throughout their lives, using different teaching methods and
techniques together. They gain proficiency in professional teaching approaches
and teaching activities. In field knowledge courses, our students, who get to
know the historical development of the Turkish language, the periods and works
of Turkish literature, understand the importance of cultural awareness, the
ability to transform thoughts into action, digital competence and creative
expression of emotions in education with general culture courses.
Vision
Our vision is to be an
undergraduate program that provides the training of well-equipped teacher
candidates and scientists who can contribute to the teaching of Turkish
language and literature with the scientific research and qualified teaching
program it conducts.

success of their students and take measures to increase success. They monitor
developments in their profession and try to reflect these in the teaching
